The Kingan Family

In business since 1878

Kingan farms was started in 2003 after splitting from James Kingan and Sons, which originally started trading in 1978 as a farming, feed, haulage and sawmill business. Today it’s still very much a family business, run by Alistair Kingan and his wife Suzi along with Alistair’s parents Margaret and Russell.

Our Cottages

Cosy holiday accommodation with breathtaking views

Our cottages, Lochill Bungalow and Criffel View, offer a relaxed and peaceful break in the Dumfries & Galloway countryside, just outside the romantic village of New Abbey, on the A710 coastal road.

The Farms

A holiday with a difference

Both properties are situated on our 1180 acre beef farm here in south-west Scotland. We regularly run tours of the farm for guests, making it a truly unique holiday experience.

Roughly 6 miles south-west of Dumfries, on the A710 coastal road, you’ll find New Abbey – a small village with a romantic tale to tell.
